Château La Nerthe is one of the oldest and most iconic estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with a history dating back to 1560. The estate is considered one of the founding domaines of the appellation and was among the first producers to bottle its own wines and export them internationally.
With approximately 92 hectares of vineyards spread across 57 plots, La Nerthe benefits from an exceptional diversity of terroirs — ranging from sandy and limestone soils to the iconic galets roulés (large rounded stones) that absorb heat during the day and release it at night. Since 1998, the estate has been fully organic, with a strong focus on precision and terroir expression.
